While biking downtown this morning, I saw one of those Red Gray Line double deckers on 4th Street by the National Gallery with a Hard Rock San Francisco ad on the back.  I thought no big deal until I then saw it also had CA plates and said it was part of "Open Top San Francisco."  Someone is a bit lost ;-)

The L2 was definitely running increased service today to supplement the Red Line.  I saw two buses running NB very closely together just after 9 this morning while driving to synagogue.  The first was at Calvert and Connecticut, the second along 18th Street (I turned at S, so it must have been down closer to New Hampshire).  On the way home, the Adams-Morgan circulator had a full size bus on it, not sure if that is normal these days since I've seen the shorter buses on the E-W line a few times lately.

6033 on the N4 at Friendship Heights.  I don't think I'm ever going to get used to the Ns and Ls being Montgomery routes, seeing the various New Flyer models on those routes is just strange.

Also, there are new lighting fixtures hanging from the ceiling in the mezzanine at the west end of Judi Square.  They look OK and are certainly effective in brightening things up on that side of the station.

5735 on the 54!!! finally Gaithersburg gets something new! I have a picture of it that I'll post later. yeah, I was waiting for the 54 to go to Rockville. For some reason I had a strong feeling it was gonna be a Gillig Advantage, but I was not expecting 5735...

oh, and 2805 was on the H1 this afternoon, the sign said "BROOKLAND STADIUM" rather than "BROOKLAND STATION", unfortunately I was not able to get a shot of it.

I saw the Brookland Stadium sign on the R4 a few times back in 2007, I would have thought they would have gotten that glitch out of there by now.  Then again...

Someone must have merged the signs for Brookland and Stadium Armory together without noticing it. I have noticed there are still alot of obsolete headsign displays programmed into the signs (i.e Taft HS, Woodson, Naylor Gardens, etc). To make matters worse, on alot of the 21-2200s, the Luminator sign controller panel is screwed shut for some reason and if the Clever Devices panel is not working, the operator is screwed in setting their signs.

also, even though the GPS was not updated on nextbus for 6192, I saw that bus yesterday on the P17/P19, so there's our answer. so it's official, Annex now has everything between 6179 and 6195.

sweet! i looked it up on Nextbus, and you're right. the other 4370s seem to still be in Landover.

OK - I don't get it.   As far as I know the C8 is operated by only Montgomery Division.  If this is still true,  then my understanding is that every bus on this route will sport a Montgomery block (borrowed or not).  That said, 4375 is not necessarily a Montgomery bus now because it's displaying a Montgomery block.  It could simply be covering for another bus.
