This post was started on another board, so why not start one on this board.  Which famous people have you met or been in the same room with in your lifetime.  I mention this because about a month ago, when G.I. Joe came out, I got to see the movie before it was released to the public.  I went with my brother, my niece, nephew, my brother's friends and their children to Andrews Air Force Base.  What I didn't know was that some of the stars of that movie were going to be there also and if I had known that I would have gotten the better camera, instead my wussie camera phone get some good pics.  Anyway Sienna Miller (the Baroness), that chick from Alias(not Mrs Affleck, the other chick-who played Scarlett), Marlon Wayans (Ripcord) and Channing Tatum(Duke), were there.  I got some somewhat pics, if I can enhance them somewhat to make out a face then I have something.

Anyways other celebs I met over the years was Wes Unseld (back when he was a player and not the much maligned coach/GM he was later in his career), Chamiqua (sp?) Holsclaw (when she was with the Mystics), and I think a few other local celebs over my life.  Blaque (that day they were famous) performed at Landmark (now the mall is totally black, with no stores) and also seeing Art Monk (also at Landmark---I am not making a comment on Landmark, others can) were basically the only celebs I have been around.

I could have met Rick Ross..........................no thanks, my assistant met him and he was rude and he stank and also was in at Landmark when Little Romeo and Omarion went to FTL and a nearly 30 year old assistant (male)literally ran over a nearly 20 year old part timer (female) just to get their autograph and cheesed like the sheezy when he got it (insert joke here).

I leave the rest to you and if any one of you ooohs over Channing Tatum, were going to have a serious talk.

I met John Riggins once.

I was loading passengers on my Ride On route #1 at Friendship Heights.
He boarded my bus, asked if this was the bus to Bethesda. I told him no, then looked up & saw it was him. He looked at me & said "nice coat" (I was wearing my Redskins Stadium coat as it was the dead of winter).

I then got outta my seat, shook his hand & said thanks for all that he did, pointed him to a #42 sitting there & gave him an all day transfer.

This was about the time, he was living in the storage locker in Fairfax, hence the reason he riding the METRO & Buses & the reason I gave him an All Day Transfer.

I shook hands with former Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Peres a few years ago.

I sold a pair of sandals to Dikembe Mutambo when I worked at Sears at Montgomery Mall; saw Patrick Ewing wandering around there; sat down and spoke with former Dodger's manager Tommy Lasorda at a hotel in Philly, met Doug Williams, Gary Clark and some other Redskins one year (Gary Clark lived at my parents apt. complex in Rockville a few years ago); a couple of Washington Wizards lived there as well; met Wes Unseld wandering around the Galleria mall in Baltimore, seen numerous politicians including just recently meeting the Mayor of Las Vegas.

At one time meeting anyone famous was cool, now it's really no big deal.  I don't want to bother them if I see them in public.
