The Murder of Steve McNair

This came as a shock to me when I found out yesterday.  3 time pro-bowl quarterback Steve McNair, last the QB of the Ravens was found murdered in his condo Saturday, along with his I guess you can say "friend?".  It looked to be a murder-suicide, with him having multiple gunshots and with her only having one and a gun found nearby her body.  The investigation is still ongoing so murder-suicide isn't confirmed but it could be the cause.

Steve McNair nearly won a superbowl years back with the Titans, was the 2003 MVP, along with Peyton Manning and was a 3 time probowler.  He also was 2nd runner up to the Heisman and is only 1 of 3 quarterbacks to pass for over 30,000 yards and to run for over 3500 yards (Steve Young and Fran Tarkenton are the other two).

Speculation now mount if this was a friendship or he was seeing her as a sexually aquaintance.  From what was heard, it seemed like he was one person who didn't cheat, but in this era, nobody is faithful to one's spouse, so anything is possible.  My condolences go out to his now widow Mechelle and his four kids.
