The last time I listened to him, the host (I think it was Mark Seagrave) commented that they were getting a lot of questions about specific issues and told people to call the so-called "Customer Service" line.  People are often so fed up by Metro and its problems and its ineffective customer service department that they jump on anyone in the uniform at any opportunity, including radio shows and public hearings.

But, don't call if you have specific problems because they don't want to hear it.  It's just a soapbox to talk about the inauguration probably.

I know. Metro is an excellent transit company and all, but their Customer Service is so F'd up it's rediculous. By the time you finally talk to someone, you would've missed your bus and people don't have the patience to wait like half an hour for someone to answer the phone.

Most of the program was about the inauguration.  A few calls were taken about the bus transfer policy changes and the 5 dollar Smartrip fee.

Mark Seagraves is decent enough as a host and Adam Tuss did OK today, but the latter is no Steve Eldridge and seems to know little about transit.  His reporting and interviewing often comes across as being very juvenile IMHO.

I think WTOP has either received fewer calls for these shows or they take fewer calls, ever since the programs were moved to Washington Post Radio and then moved back to WTOP.  They now only seem to take 2-3 calls an hour, whereas in the past there were many more calls.

At the end of the program, Mark Lewis or Mark Seagraves said that Mr. Catoe will do another "Ask the..." program before January 20th.

I hate Adam Tuss, for those very reasons.  He sounds like a little kid, and like you said, he doesn't know two xxxxs about transit.
