It appears that my frequent observations of UM Setra coaches on I-270 are not by chance.  On Monday (9/26/2011) I saw one on SB I-270 with a printed destination sign in the lower right windshield that seemed to read "Route 124" (from a distance).  It looks like Shuttle UM is assigning Setra coaches to operate Route 124 service between UM College Park and the Universities at Shady Grove (Rockville).  Lucky passengers!

Passing by the Eisenhower Metro Station, that FFX Connector ( I am guessing now ex-FFX Connector RTS) is still sitting in the same parking lot as was a few weeks ago.  Also I passed by Carmen E Turner and saw a green Xcelsior and for a minute wondered why, then I thought it maybe a CNG version of it, why have another hybrid version of something that is already being delievered.  Of course well, you know.

The green Xcelsior is the demo for the BAE HybriDrive. Metro is getting a batch of Xcelsiors (somewhere in the upper 7100s) with the BAE HybriDrive instead of the Allison EP40 drive.

Isn't the BAE units the last 52 buses (7101-7152) meaning that 7100 is the last of the Allison's for this order?
