WES

There maybe some merit to Annex getting some Xcelsiors.  Saw an unidentified one this morning turning onto 11th Street from Penn Ave.  I got to see part of the left sign, which said "Square", but didn't get to see the whole sign, so it is unknown if it definitely an Xcelsior  that is now based out of Annex.

Ride-On has a new sign for the 43:

43 SHADY GROVE/HOSPITAL U OF MD

...and somehow it still has the sign "43 TRAVILLE VIA SHADY GROVE HOSPITAL" as well. Why can't they make up their mind?
I feel you on that plus U of MD is really ambiguous. The area there is called the Universities of Maryland, Shady Grove. I remember the 127 used to say 127 UMS SHADY GROVE.

Sounds like it was doing either the P17, P19, or W13 to Farragut Square. Looks like Annex is indeed getting some.

Does Royal Division only do the W19 in P.G.?  Could it have been a Royal bus?  Wait... does Royal have anything other than Orion V buses?

I saw one yesterday on the P17 at Penna and 7th.  Can't recall the fleet number, but know it was higher, like 7068 or something to that nature.

Ummm, I'm pretty sure the W19 doesn't go downtown. In fact, out of all the routes I mentioned, only the W13 has some runs out of Royal. And last time I checked, Royal only has Orion Vs.

NewFlyer9736BCT

first off, he didn't mention the W19, second, based on the last pick (not sure if it's still going on), Royal has done some P17/19 runs (during PM rush at least)
and yes, Royal only has Orion Vs

Passing by the Eisenhower Metro Station, that FFX Connector ( I am guessing now ex-FFX Connector RTS) is still sitting in the same parking lot as was a few weeks ago.  Also I passed by Carmen E Turner and saw a green Xcelsior and for a minute wondered why, then I thought it maybe a CNG version of it, why have another hybrid version of something that is already being delievered.  Of course well, you know.

The green Xcelsior is the demo for the BAE HybriDrive. Metro is getting a batch of Xcelsiors (somewhere in the upper 7100s) with the BAE HybriDrive instead of the Allison EP40 drive.

2044 on the H4 heading towards Tenleytown on a Western block (WSB6). How would it have ended up all the way in Brookland?

That's one of the strategic blocks.
