My first entry is done - short and sweet (if you like 2100s):

I still have a second entry.

Cool - love the theme.  Is that light program on the buses still going on or was that cast aside?
My favorite buses:
1989 SEPTA AN440: 19 years in service
1989 NJT Metro Bs: 21 years in service
1990 WMATA 93/9400 Flxes: 20 years in service!
1990-92 Ride-On Orion Is: 17-18 years in service!

Tell me again I have no taste in buses...

Tristan

Still going, but I haven't heard of new installs even though supposedly there was money in the budget this year for more buses...

I thought I had some good news for those looking to make some neat videos affordably.

Got an email that Muvee Reveal was now HALF OFF at $49.99.  This is the newest incarnation of a software that automatically analyzes clips and music and makes a video based on this.

The original version (Muvee AutoProducer) was buggy and crashed half the time, but when working, could effortlessly produce slick videos in minutes that you couldn't recreate manually in other software like Corel or WMM without some extensive time and serious effort.

I hadn't downloaded the trial of Reveal yet and was saving it for a rainy day.  The price cut was the incentive to try it out.

Well, for me, Muvee has gone from a program that crashed half the time while producing slick effects the other half of the time to one that crashes ALL the time and doesn't even offer effects as neat as those in the original version.

Feel free to try it - maybe you'll have better luck:

Waste of money when they first installed them. They don't work half the time and I don't see any affect they had in visibility. People still don't pay attention and dart out across the street narrowly being hit by a car or a bus. (Especially at Silver Spring). It's not worth getting killed trying to get a bus.

That was a great video Tristan i really enjoyed that, I now want to make movies but my subject would probably be trains and techno music LOL ;)  Too bad half the video is the credits.

Thanks everyone.

I actually have more in me - this was just a teaser - but, I don't see myself getting it done within a week...so let's start the voting!

The poll will stay open for 7 days.  You can only vote once, but you can change your vote if you'd like.  Results will be shown at the end of the voting.

Good luck everyone, and thanks for contributing!

Tristan

Well, congratulations to Rideonrulez for winning the 2008 DC Area Video Challenge.

We'll have more challenges throughout 2009, maybe even monthly.  So, if you didn't win or didn't participate this time, there are always other chances.  I think a photo contest is in order as well.

Wait the polls aren't closed yet. Oh well I tried my best. That's all that matters. :)

Oh...oops...well....keep voting!

I set it to end on December 9, I thought that meant 12:00:00 but that apparently means 11:59:59.

You know, something told me to do that, but my brain was somewhere else. Anyways, time for more music videos in the meantime. :)
