MARC: MP-36 locomotive #28 on the headend of train P891, service to Frederick, at Gaithersburg on 4/6/2011 right "on the advertised" at 4:21 PM.

METRO: #6200 on the southbound J9 (I-270 express) with service to Bethesda at about 5:50 PM at Route 124 and I-270.

5575 was at Wheaton this morning, most likely for an 8 run. I would've liked to have gotten a ride on it, but I was already on 6202, heading towards P.G. Plaza on the C4.

Later on, while riding the 5 to White Flint, I saw 5376 being towed down Seminary Road.

METRO: on Sunday, April 17, 2011, 5:40 PM, on the southbound span of the 14th Bridge: #2701 operating Route 5A express service to Dulles Airport carrying no passengers! Usually every time I see a 5A it is packed to the windshields with passengers.

Another trackwork PR screwup from Metro: It seems that the short turn Red Lines are turning back at New York Avenue and Friendship Heights, even though the press release on their website says the short turn service will run from Silver Spring to Grosvenor as it usually does. Frankly, since the trackwork zone is at White Flint on the west side AFAIK, I don't get why Medical Center isn't the turnback point.

Driving down Reno Road tonight between Van Ness and Porter, the old H3 bus stop poles are still in the ground with notices that the stops were discontinued but the flags have been removed. The guide a ride boxes are still installed but I wasn't able to see if the contents were removed or not.
