forgot define the male/female 07's...does it have to do with the buses' length i.e. 35 footers aka female- 40 footers male. Don't laugh never looked at buses as male or female, it all good...I guess.

The "Male" Orion VII CNGs are the ones equipped with the Detroit Diesel S50G engine (2101-2159).
The "Female" Orion VII CNGs are the ones equipped with the Cummins C Gas+ engine (2160-2190)
The Orion VII Diesels have Detroit Diesel S50-EGR engines and are buses 2191-2210.

All of MARTA's Orion VIIs have Allison transmissions, and all of them are 40ft. long. Also, the "Male" and "Female" designation is not official MARTA slang/terminology. Just my way pointing out one set from the other.

EDIT: The Orion VII Diesels are #2191-2240, not what was previously stated. My fault, folks....

Sweet new MARTA paint schemes!  Haven't seen those yet.  Thanks for sharing.  I especially like 2501 as that was my house # growing up.

Just read an article regarding these buses the last of which should be in service this month. MARTA's bus replacement policy is 12 years/500k miles, whichever comes first.
