Apparently they bought some C40LFR's.  with a new paint scheme to. I was wondering is anybody knew about this. My friend sent me this photo but he didn't know anything either.

That paint scheme is kick a-- nice good look for them, can't wait for our next CNG order.

Now that's what I call a good looking paint scheme....

Agreed.  Plus, MARTA buses have looked like this forever and a day.

Thanks for sharing.  That is a good scheme.

Yeah i know the scheme is sick on it! Its a good thing they made a new scheme. Im surprised they would come up with something that tight. Its even better them WMATA's.

Lived in ATL in mid-1970's. MARTA colors and design haven't changed since MARTA's first A/C New Looks of the early '70's.

This is probably one of an order for 101 CNG's noted in a New Flyer press release of July 21, 2009 with an option for an additional 221.

I thought I seen a different paint scheme of a MARTA bus on the transitalk site a while back. I believe it was lt blue with some orange in it. Here a link to it.  What's the deal with this scheme....not bad looking.

Here are some more photo's.

All i have to say is i gotta ride them! And it seem that there doing the same thing WMATA. Repainting or rehabbing there older fleet.

Wow, that's a very nice scheme.   The fantastic part about it is that it will look just as good on any bus that they put it on.  Additionally, they even incorporated their old logo quite will into the scheme as well.

Thanks for sharing!
My favorite buses:
1989 SEPTA AN440: 19 years in service
1989 NJT Metro Bs: 21 years in service
1990 WMATA 93/9400 Flxes: 20 years in service!
1990-92 Ride-On Orion Is: 17-18 years in service!

Tell me again I have no taste in buses...

That paint scheme can be found on several MARTA buses. The buses painted in that scheme are used for the Blue Flyer (routes 201, 216, 245, and 273) express service . You'll even find some "male" and "female" Orion 7's in that paint, as seen here.

It is whatever.

I love how MARTA has a snazzy new scheme and is still doing two things just about every other agency moved on from.

1: Sliding windows. Outside of them and GRTC, who really is ordering sliding windows anymore?
2: Not having a rear route sign.

Here's aother pic of one of MARTA's express buses.

Thanks metroliner for the clarification....so the expess scheme stays along with the new scheme, huh?

metroman177

forgot define the male/female 07's...does it have to do with the buses' length i.e. 35 footers aka female- 40 footers male. Don't laugh never looked at buses as male or female, it all good...I guess. ;D
