I was told by a shop man that Southern is getting all of the 6100's in replace of 4000's fleet. also the person who assign buses to the garages stated that southern will not get brt buses but in replace of the flxible fleet we will get 6100's/6200's. we have expanded our garage fleet from 128 to 140 we can accomadate the M6,V5,90,92lines. They are tryin to make out if we can get V7/8 lines but I dont think we can just wait and see.
Annex took the M6 back in March FULL time. Plus if they get the 90,92 and V7 V8 wouldnt they have to give up some routes?

speaking of which...did Landover always have the H11-13? It seems more of an Annex line but I see nothing but Landover buses on there.

Yeah and your right it does seem like an Annex route. Hmm they should look into taking that route.

Yeah the H11-13 and the K11-K13 should be Annex. Look how far the routes are from Landover and look how close they are to Annex. The C12, C14 and H11,H12, H13 routes start at Naylor Rd Station, which is closest to Annex than Landover. Then they go southeast of Naylor Rd Station. The C12, C14 are operated by Annex, but the H11, 12, 13 are operated by Landover. This has never made sense to me. The H's should be Annex.

The same goes for Montgomery operating the N's and L's. That doesn't make sense either. I was in DC Thursday and all I saw on the N2 was Montgomery buses.
Blue Line Shuttle to Franconia-Springfield.

Want me to make a destination sign for you? Just send me a PM and I'll have it made in no time.

My question was: was the H11-13 always served by Landover or did Landover take it away from Annex since the Southeast closing? I know the K11-13 was always Landover, I just wanna know if it's the same for the H11-13. I wouldn't know since I haven't gone to Naylor Rd Station before all this happened.

Well, the reason for that is because since Southeast closed, there has been lots of route division changes (with Bladensburg and Annex taking most of the SE routes, and Northern taking over the 90, 92, and 93). this caused a chain reaction where other divisions are affected as well, and in this case, Montgomery ended up taking the L and N lines from Western on weekdays (Western does them on weekends). This also explains why Royal does some W13, P17-19 runs, and why West Ox took over a lot of the Pentagon routes (replacing Royal), and why Western does the 60s (60, 62, 63, 64).

Speaking of which, is the 60 still around? Ever since the new 64 came into service, there's no point to keeping the 60.

Yes the 60 is sitll around. Plus Western runs 40fts on that route and it doesnt need them.

Yes Landover ALWAYS served the H11-13 even before Southeastern closed, But Southeastern did the C14 on Weekends. Plus once I saw a Southeastern bus on a late H12 on a Friday in 2005. Weird huh?

know what else is weird? I once saw a Southeast bus on the P17 during AM rush. It was 2164, back in the day when it was a SE bus, with Aesys signs, and with knight riders, add that on the P17 and you get a nice photo op. Unfortunately, I didn't get my camera out on time.

6101-6143 ANNEX
6144-6178 LANDOVER

So all of these and MoDi's D40LFRs are all suppose to head to Annex? Dang.

The REAL Landover Division fan!

That is weird, and I saw 6187 on the U2 once. And is WMATA willing to send ALL the D40LFR's to Annex, because if I know any better they are gonna get tagged up like crazy!!!!!

6101-6106, 6179-6211 Montgomery
6107-6143, 6212-6217 Annex
6144-6178 Landover
That should clear up some confussion.

Annex is going to get D40LFRs with suburban high-back seating?
My favorite buses:
1989 SEPTA AN440: 19 years in service
1989 NJT Metro Bs: 21 years in service
1990 WMATA 93/9400 Flxes: 20 years in service!
1990-92 Ride-On Orion Is: 17-18 years in service!

Tell me again I have no taste in buses...

If that happens then Montgomery would be left with no suburban seaters (except 9830-9835 but who knows how much longer they'll be around).  I'm betting that either 6207-6211 stay at Montgomery, some of the Orion Vs get sent back to Montgomery or some DE42LFA's will show up with suburban seating.

Annex4421

Well I think the Suburban Orion V's get sent to landover because Montgomery is supposed to get Express LFAs as well.

Why would Landover need any more suburban seaters than what they have now?

They have Highway routes and Express routes thats why Annex has them now. Besides Montgomery used them on Local routes just like Annex does so whats the diffrence. PS Does NYC have a New Bus order for now?
