Hmm wonder what the number is on the Flxie nad if it is destined for greater things or the scrap heap?

LandoverDivision

The number is unknown unfortunatly.

Maybe they (WMATA) can put that FLEXI into its historic fleet.
After they number it, of course!
Can't go wrong, with a classic ANYTHING!

Didn't think to look inside the bus to see if it had a number there?

8704 was supposidly saved as part of their historic fleet.  It's interesting that Flxible has been the literally the backbone of WMATA's fleet, yet every year the only buses displayed are GM units.  They didn't even save any of their Flx new looks which sucks, they didn't save a MAN artic, which sucks and the AMG they were trying to save they either got rid of or was trying to get rid of, which sucks.

We were blocked by the rail thing. It was in the Roadeo area.

Thanks for answering my question.  I thought a Metro B had been retained...although we haven't really seen it.  I concur with your sentiment, though.  While SEPTA thankfully retained a Flx New Look, GM Fishbowl, and a 35 foot RTS, they didn't bother to save ANY of the Neoplan AN440s (which essentially made up the SEPTA fleet in the late 80's and 90's) and scrapped the Volvo B10M, 7011, that they saved for the historic fleet (still trying to figure THAT one out).

What is exactly the point of having a "Roadeo Bus"  Is that where the judges hang out?
My favorite buses:
1989 SEPTA AN440: 19 years in service
1989 NJT Metro Bs: 21 years in service
1990 WMATA 93/9400 Flxes: 20 years in service!
1990-92 Ride-On Orion Is: 17-18 years in service!

Tell me again I have no taste in buses...
