It's not too surprising to find one of these buses on regular routes lately since the 5400 series artics are on the 79 due to the Red Line closing...
Finding one of these during other times is pretty surprising though...I think the first report was by me when I saw a MetroExtra bus on the D5 several months ago.

It will be interesting to see how many people migrate over to the buses to take advantage of the newer services into DC (S9, 79) or the cross-county ones that people didn't see the value in until this week. Parallel bus lines certainly have their benefits.....

In my days of living in Ballston, even though it took longer, it was more interesting to take the buses from there to Wheaton and elsewhere than dealing with the Metro.

I heard that 6421 was also at Northern, but I haven't seen it yet.

Also, D42LFA, I think I may have seen you yesterday at Silver Spring...I saw 2 people there talking about buses and taking pics, or was that Brandon, idk, probably one of you guys.

It was someone with a black shirt and another one with a grey shirt, I forgot what it said on each shirt though but the grey one might have been a Bburg HS shirt

My shirt was like a tan/beige color. Anyways, George we should go busfanning tomm or sometime next week.
