oh well...I guess yeah then, the Flxs have exterior speakers, just not the clever devices.

about a year or two ago, I took 4060 on the 25B from Van Dorn to Ballston...and everytime the operator opened the door, the exterior speakers said in his own voice "25B to Ballston Metro"

That might be coming from the farebox...., yes the farebox.  Some fareboxes have the ability to "speak".  A lot of the buses based out of Arlington did that.

6388, 6389, and 6405 are there.

So the express series starts at 6424 (odd) and goes up to 6445. That makes 21.
