That can't be right with the 16s as they need the CNG that FMR has.

The 29N, with a few weekday peak exceptions, runs on Saturday's.  I'm assuming FMR will run the 29N on Saturday's.  So, on weekdays, the 29K out of Royal; the four or five 29N trips out of West Ox?

Also - I think the 16s will stay at FMR.  What is your source for this information?  Did you meam to write 26s instead of 16s?  The 16s run on weekends and have the "PIKE RIDE" branding on the CNGs.  I can't see, not that this matters, Arlington Co. being too happy if older high-floor Vs replace the newer low-floor VIIs.

The 16 needs CNG's because Chris Zimmerman said so and what Chris Zimmerman wants, Chris Zimmerman gets.  Also the buses are branded and no I do not like them and would love for them to leave and be replaced with my beloved Oriion VIs, but FMR was designated as a CNG garage and then there is the part about Chris Zimmerman.

Someone wanting them to have CNG buses doesn't mean they NEED them. Anyways, I like the Orion VIs and all, but they aren't THAT great. let's leave it as is. FMR should get some C40LFs and/or C40LFRs. i want to see these on the 16s, 9s, 7s etc.

Isn't West Ox going to have some 3900s as well?

Well ALL the active buses in the fleet are going to be repainted into either the local or express theme. Those buses that are branded as Pike Ride are not going to stay that way for long. So it doesn't matter if West Ox does the 16. After all, Pike Ride buses have been seen on other FMR routes too. And non branded FMR buses have been on the 16 routes also. So it doesn't really matter.

The same goes for those other branded buses: 38B, 9S and, B30. They aren't going to be that way for long.

9700's-9800's will retire but some are supposed to be held  some of bladensburg 3700's are in storage at CET.

A Politics Primer for you folks on the other side of the river:

Chris Zimmerman isn't someone, he just ended a term as WMATA Board Chairman and is a County Supervisor in Arlington...and still sits on the WMATA board.  If HE says CNG, he gets CNG. 

I was once in a room with him and he said Flxibles were horrible buses.

Chris Zimmerman is a politician, not a busfan.  The Flxibles are old, the public generally prefers new buses to old buses.  The public also likes low floor buses, the Flxibles are not low floor buses.

That's all it is, he's speaking for his constituents who want newer, environmentally friendly and ow floor.  Only the busfans really care about something like that for nostagia purposes.

Next week will be the very last week of the Arlington Division's existence.  And we still do not know where the buses & routes go from there.
