After a weekend in New York (photos to come from that on my website eventually, as well as teasers here), the Europe teasers continue.  Tonight, I share my Amsterdam photos.

First the trams:

EuroCup 2008 Wrap:

Alongside a high level Sneltram platform:

And now the Metro, first heavy rail:

And finally the Sneltram:

Amsterdam has very few buses.  Like many other European cities, the few buses just feed into the tram lines, and there are some expresses straight to downtown from outlying areas with no tram.  Amsterdam has its own, unique bus model, the Berkhof Jonckheer, as well as some more typical models.

Excellent, as usual.  Thank you very much.  It was nice of you to catch the tram with the destination sign "President Kennedylaan."  Along with the trams my next favorite feature in Amsterdam is the "coffee shops" which the government is cracking down on unfortunately.

Oren: Correct me if needed but regarding Amsterdam's buses:

Body - Berkhoff
Chassis - Jonckhere (Belgium)
Powertrain - DAF (Volvo)

I honestly don't know.  I think you are right on the body chassis, can't speak for the powertrain.
