Like the Jeopardy! category "COMMON BONDS", these three trains all share something in common.  Does anyone know what it is?

Train 1:

Train 2:

Train 3:

A correct answer will "unlock" a round of teasers from the 400+ photo website update I'm putting finishing touches on this afternoon.

Good luck!

They're all CAFs? I don't know.

They are all CAFs, but I'm looking for something more specific than that.

They are all CAF cars on the Red Line of their respective systems
Red Line train to Rhode Island Avenue -- Doors Closing
Blue Line train to Stadium-Armory -- Doors Closing
Orange Line train to Ballston -- Doors Closing

Next station -- Nicholson Lane -- Doors open on the left

That isn't it, sorry.

Let me try offering a suggestion: Focus on what you do know.  Then see if you can extend it to what you don't know.

Lemme guess. Since they're all from CAF, they all suck.

You all were on the right track with CAF being the common manufacturer.  That is correct.  But the common thread is even more specific than that.

Slightly OT (since it won't help figure out the answer to the question I posed at the start of the thread): CAF actually has some decent equipment running in Europe, with this being my favorite type of CAF train out of all those I've been on in 5 different cities:

Rome's newest subway cars are very similar to these, but the line they operate on doesn't have any significantly high speed sections so I'm not as big a fan of the ones in Rome as I am of the ones pictured above, which run in Madrid.

They all operate CAF's on Metro's with Red Lines?

WMATAGMOAGH

OK, here is the answer:

They are all CAF 5000 Series cars

The top photo is from Madrid, the middle photo is from Barcelona.

The Red Line common link is an interesting thought, but the Madrid photo was on Line 6, which is silver in color on the maps, and the Barcelona photo was on Line 5, which is blue.  The lines all go by numbers in both cities and no one calls them by the colors they use on the map, similar to how in New York, you would never hear someone tell you to take the Red Line to Times Square.

I'll start posting some more teasers from my website's latest update later on today.

Only in photo 3 can you see the number as glare from the lights in photo 2 basically blinds out the number. Good puzzle though
