I've been curious about that since I moved to the area.  I can't imagine not rooting for my hometown team.

I never saw the Redskins playing in the Super Bowl, but they are certainly a playoff contender.  The upcoming schedule for the Redskins is pretty easy, they should be able to go 10-6 still.

Agreed.  Their remaining schedule is in their favor.  One worry for me is that the 'Skins could easily end up battling the Giants for the division since they have tough opponents ahead.

I think the Redskins have some soul searching to do.  I still believe that if they get back to playing the way they do they have a chance to go to the playoffs.  I mean the Skins kept the "high powered" Cowboys offense down to 14 points and the only reason why Barber got over 100 yards, if your offense doesn't do squat and your defense stays on the field for a longer time, overtime they are going to get tired and most of Barber's  yards came in the 4th quarter when the defense was worn down.

The Redskins need to open up the playbook more, the offense is looking as conservative as it did last year.  The defense, though they looked good, needs a better pass rush.  And one last thing, this team could have easily been 9-1 or 8-2 if they didn't blow opportunities and could have even lost a few more games by letting Dallas (first game) and Cleveland hang around.

Tristan,

I have no idea why there are so many Dallas fans in the DC area.  I am a hometown man and I love my HOMETOWN teams, in my opinion if you don't support your hometown teams, then you aren't from here, even if you were born here.  I mean people who like the Detroit Lions still like their hometown team, even though they could easily lose to some high school varsity teams, but those fans will still be Detriot Lion fans.  I know a few Cowboy fans and to me they are not too bright, I am not kidding on that either, they are literally not too bright.

Don't worry Dallas fans you'll be watching your team........well you'll be watching your team watching other teams in the playoffs from home, hopefully one of those playoff teams being the Skins.

Well I guess that is in your favor Wayne   ;D Because the Giants crushed us in the first game of the season.

Chris,

I do think the Giants are stronger than the 'Skins this season. That said, the Redskins are still very much in it.  When they bring their A-game, they can whip any team.  I think their problem this weekend is that they were just flat.  Usually when they score first at home, the crowd gets into it and they tend to not look back.

It's not too bad for the 'Skins.  Although they're now tied with the Cowboys, I think they'll finish with a better record this year.  Given their remaining games we can easily expect the Redskins to finish at 10-6 (and possibly better).  If they happen to win their next game against the Giants (which is at FedEx field), that will put them in a better position to challenge the Giants for the division.  On top of all this the Eagles helped out everyone by having their game end in a tie this week.  It should be interesting over the next few weeks.

My sister has been a die-hard Cowboys fan since she was little. She has NEVER been a Redskins fan. However, I WAS a Redskins fan. Don't get me wrong I like the Redskins, but I like the Giants and Titans better. My Titans need some credit where credit is due. Even at 10-0, we still don't get attention from the media. It's sad but true. Hopefully, we can make it to the superbowl and win. Then we'll probably get some kind of credit.

Nothing in Tennessee really gets any credit...

The titans? Brandon are you lunching?

Tristan

Hey they are 10-0, like he said, credit's due.

Two reasons why they aren't getting attention here at least:

1.  Titans are AFC, this is an NFC town
2.  Short of a presidential impeachment, the Redskins are going to be the lead story Monday morning in this city under almost any circumstance.  Listen to WTOP on Sunday evening and Monday morning during football season and the lead story coming out of the CBS Hourly News will be about the Redskins more than 95% of the time.  They also always get a spot on the front page of the Washington Post every Monday morning during the season.  It is just the way it is around here.

Not talking about local news i'm talking about ESPN and NFL Network. Around here, all they talk about is the Redskins.

I've found that they talk alot about the NFC East teams.  I can see why they'd talk about the Redskins.  Before this season most had them being lucky to finish with a winning record.  I'm no 'Skins fan, but I have to say they've looked very good many times this season.  They're also talking about the Jets and Patriots too, again since the Jets has exceeded expections even with Favre.
