Too drunk to ride Metro?

I was watching this on Fox 5 news last night and I was just wondering, is it really possible to be so wasted that you can't use mass Transit? Any thoughts on this?

Just about all of the TV stations have carried this story this week with some amazing videos.  I have to agree that if you are so inebriated that you lose control then you should not use mass transit because you are encroaching on the rights of other riders to travel in safety without undue delays.  The next time someone is falling down drunk and falls on the tracks and is hit by a train and the line is closed for hours as a result, we would all wish they took a taxi.  I have been on trains where inebriated riders vomited on the seats and floors and that was not entertaining.
