Does anyone know if any of these buses are in service yet? If they are, where are they running?

BigRalph9864

Last time I checked, they weren't in service yet.

Hmm, that's odd. Any idea how many they are getting?

Finally spotted a New Flyer XD35 Xcelsior (#9684) today while at the Springfield Metro. It was on the 232 I think (forgot which route exactly).

I would guess that the numbers are #9678-9699. Saw #9690 yesterday heading towards Pentagon.

The new XD35's are numbered 9676-9690, a total of 15. These were bought for the Silver Line Connectors.

I thought the XD40s went up to #9677? So I take it that these are replacing the 30 foot Orion Vs? And how about the XD40s numbered in the 7700s? The highest I've seen so far was #7757.

There's a picture of 9677 somewhere in the forums that shows that it's an XD35, so that's confirmed. I've also heard at some point that the XD40s went up to 9677, but I've only seen up to 9675.
Route Q2. Destination: Silver Spring Station

Transport

The Connector XD35s are based at West Ox Road as of now and are used to a lesser extent on routes out of Vienna Metro and to a larger extent on the newer Beltway HOT lanes routes to and from Tysons from Franconia-Springfield, Lorton VRE/Saragota, and Burke Centre.  The 17L Metrobuses finally have some company at the VRE station terminal at Burke Centre, ha.
