Ride On's 51 appears to now be a cutaway route...

Was surprised to see cutaways running the 51 today.  It's funny how the equipment has gone on that route, though.  Previously, we would get the newest buses regularly, getting the 2009 buses in the new paint scheme and such.  Then they eliminated that and we got only Orion Vs and Gillig Phantoms.  And today seems to be the first day of the 51 as a cutaway route rather than real buses.  I guess we weren't filling them up enough to warrant real buses anymore?

If that's where the cutaway vans and the 30' Gilligs live (and by the looks of the area on Google Earth, that seems likely), then yes.

Oh that explains it, and explains why I haven't really noticed that route before, lol.  What kind of Orion Vs were running on it?  The M11s?

I remember when Gaithersburg ran the 51 and i drove a brand new (than) Orion VII on it, I picked up my sister and brother that day.
