After attending the Capitals' practice at Kettler Iceplex, I returned to Ballston just in time to see 2595 pulling away on the 38B. After killing some time through lunch, sightseeing, and back-to-back trips on the 23A, I finally caught 2595, getting both the number and a fast (well, fast by 38B standards, anyway) ride. I also saw 2542, still unrehabbed and kicking, on the 22A.

Of course, I always predict that 2613 will be next on that list (have been since way back in the 1500s), and yet it's still out and about, unrehabbed. I think that makes only 2542, 2609, 2613, and 3009 the only ones left unrehabbed. I counted your list, and it looks like that should cover up to rehab 1687 out of 1691, so we're actually almost done with the Orions =\
Speaking of Bladensburg, I stopped by there today and saw 2611 and 2614 looking nice and spiffy in their new paints (should be the next ones to return), as well as an un-numbered red baby Orion VII (probably 3008 or 3033).
Also, just wondering, how did you confirm 2510 is at Bladensburg?

Its coordinates showed it was there a couple weeks ago; I think it was the week that 2541 and 2572 returned. You know how some buses that go to Bladensburg show a route number when they arrive, like the 3A for 2616 or the REX for 2679? For 2510, it was the 16L.

Wasn't #6212-6217 rehabbed back in 2011 along with #6167? Also, when are they going to rehab the DE40LFs and DE40LFRs? I'm dying to see them repainted.

They're not rehabbed, they were only repainted. See, rehabbing involves a complete rebuilding of the bus, with newer parts, interior seat pads, repainted interior and exterior, etc. 6167 and 6212-17 were only repainted on the outside, and it's the same thing for 2815-2825, 5302, 5305, 5308, 5311, 5313, 5316, and 6040.

The ironic thing is, 6040 is among the approximately 20 DE40LF(R)s and D40LFRs that still haven't shown up on NextBus over the past couple of weeks. And since there's still an empty space for rehab number 1656, I'm gonna guess that it belongs to 3030, since it returned to service around the same time as 2666 did.

Your list for possible rehabs is pretty accurate since I've been keeping track myself. Although, last night I saw 6037 outside of Rockville Station, so that one should still be around.
Also, I haven't seen 6168 on the API for a while, I guess you found it then.

Why is Bladensburg evening getting FMR's Orion VII CNGs? Are they getting new routes from other depots or something?
