Here's the local news story.  Radford Transit's newly-appointed GM is Josh Baker, who also volunteers with us at CC&T here in Roanoke.  He has been a great help with coordinating shuttles on our vintage bus fleet, so the new job will be second nature for him.

Ironically, the stock photo on WSLS shows an RTS, but this is primarily (and sadly) a cutaway affair.  According to the story below, larger traditional-sized buses (not sure what kind) will also be used for the new service.  I must say I do like their new paint scheme...and wonder how it looks on an actual bus.

Once all the goats are rounded up, the German tourists are extradited, and the syrup trucks are returned, you'll have to admit that you never saw that one coming.

Agreed - like the color scheme.  It will certainly look good when applied to a real bus.

How exciting!  A new system rather than a system that's on the brink of shutting down.  Thanks for sharing the link!
My favorite buses:
1989 SEPTA AN440: 19 years in service
1989 NJT Metro Bs: 21 years in service
1990 WMATA 93/9400 Flxes: 20 years in service!
1990-92 Ride-On Orion Is: 17-18 years in service!

Tell me again I have no taste in buses...
