As I said recently, I was going to post something besides photos from Israel in the upcoming weeks, and I'm following through on that.  I've been in the US since early Friday morning, and I went railfanning on Friday as part of my effort to fight off jetlag.

First, some shots while waiting for an NJT train to NYP from EWR:

Now the NYC subway shots from later the same day:

The train that pulled in at the start of my railfanning adventure was the wrapped R142A 6 train.  I decided to take advantage of the fact the 10 car stop at Brooklyn Bridge northbound is not at the tunnel itself and took a 5 train to beat the wrapped train there (the second picture was taken at 42nd Street):

I then went out to check out the construction on the Brighton Line and Culver Viaduct:

All in all, a fun 4 hours, and I was mostly over my jetlag by Saturday morning, so mission(s) accomplished I suppose.
