AMTRAK'S changes for east/mid-west long distance trains

 The October 2010 edition of NARP NEWS (National Association of Railroad Passengers) reported that in November 2011 The Cardinal (NYC-Cincinnati-Indianapolis-Chicago) will become a daily train.  It is now tri-weekly.  Also in November 2011 The Pennsylvanian (NYC-Pittsburgh) will be combined with The Capitol Limited west of Pittsburgh thus restoring through-service between NYC and Chicago on that route.  This amounts to a restoration of the Pennsylvania Railroad's legendary BROADWAY LIMITED with a train consolidation in Pittsburgh rather than Harrisburg.  As planned for November 2011, The Pennsylvanian would consist of four single level cars (sleeper, diner/cafe, two coaches) and be connected "via transition sleeper to The Capitol Limited's Superliners.
