Looks like some of Bladensburg's 30' Orion VII's are on routes they usually aren't today.

3004 on the G8.

I mean it's going to sound funny when I say this, but every morning when I went to work there would always be a 30 foot Orion VII on the G8 and from what I see, it gets packed.  Why is there always a 30 foot bus on the G8 during rush,  I don't know.  The same thing for the  30s.  I have even seen an Orion II on the 30s, which if you think getting a 30 foot bus on the 30s was weird, try getting an Orion II on the 30s...........during rush hour.

I think everything in Bladensburg that's shorter than 60 feet is fair game for the 30s, especially during rush hour.

This doesn't seem endemic to Bladensburg. When I briefly lived along the 3's in northwest Arlington, there always would be one oddball 30' Orion VII in rush that would be crush loaded leaving Rosslyn. Haven't there also been odd cases where Landover has sent a 3900 on the F4?

I've never seen one, but in the late 90s I rode baby Flxs 5168 and 5169 on the F4 during the PM rush hour.

I heard of it happening once in a while.  There has been more sightings of the old Orion V B30 dedicated buses on the F4 than 30 footers.

What is it with random buses appearing in different divisions? First we had 6533 hanging out at Montgomery, then we've got 6180 regularly appearing on the 90s, and now this:

Right after the Orion V's began to be taken off of the B30, they ended up dominating the F4 (and F6). The long length of those routes makes softs seats and such a benefit, kinda like how Montgomery's D40LFR suburbans end up on a lot of long routes (K6, C8, weekday L8) outside of rush hours.

After slumming on the 90 yesterday and this morning, 6180 found its way home today.

ugh...the 4250s can never seem to find a permanent home. let's see, 4256 is back at West Ox, 4257 is now on the 2A, which means it's back at West Ox as well, and 4258 and 4259 are at Montgomery. And that leaves Bladensburg with only 4242, 4254, and 4255 (besides 4200-4209)

According to Nextbus, the following Orion VIIs are at Bladensburg (most likely for rehab/repaint?)

2504, 2506, 2536, 2539, 2543, 2546, 2556, 2560, 2561, 2562, 2571, 2577, 2580, 2584, 2588, 2598, 2608, 2610, 2630, and 2679

as for the 30-foot ones, 3001-3018 are at Bladensburg for revenue service, so there's no telling when they will be in rehab, and 3019-3035 are all at FMR.

edit 3/25/2012 (for notes): funny how 3018 turned out that it was getting rehabbed right at the time 3019 and 3020 moved to FMR, and moved to FMR right after the rehab. also 2679 has not been rehabbed at the time, instead it was repowered with the C Gas engine
