Why are artics at Western? Isn't it too small for those buses?
There's only one there for the time being. 5205. It mainly goes out just on rush hour runs on the 30s and one time was on the 64.

Your source please? Until I see picture proof of this I will not believe it. My thinking is that the tracking system was taken off 5205 and was put on another bus and the bus number was not changed in the system when installed. This happened ALL the time at Ride On with fareboxes. Old buses retired, fareboxes were pulled out and put into new buses that were being delivered with the old unit number showing it was still operating. Now I will try and verify if 5205 is REALLY at Western Division :-)

Now, this makes perfect sense to me.  Not saying 5205 can't be at Western, but I'd be really suprised if it is there.

5452's system hasn't worked at all. It still shows it as being at CET although I've seen it running on the 71 and logged in.

yes, plus several other buses like 4039 and 4040 have this problem too. although let's see...apparently 6583 and 6608 aren't showing up on Nextbus, so it may be a possibility that one of those has 5205's GPS. speaking of Ride On buses retiring, is it finally over with everything between 5550-5579? I haven't seen them in a while, and as much as I hated them before, I'm missing them.

WES

6608 is not in service yet.  Actually it is not even on WMATA property.  This one is actually at a contractor lot at the intersection of Route 50 and I-495/95.  They always have a good assortment of buses there.  I have seen buses from Ride On, WMATA, THE BUS, Fairfax Connector, Howard Transit and MDMTA Commuter.

Given the location, could CET have run out of room?

I doubt it.  I remember when the Orion VIIs and C40LFR were cming in it was pretty crowded at CET.  However, with the LFA's, they seem to have arrived at such a pace that CET was never quite full.  I also see that vendor's lot that WES mentioned.  My guess is that it's simply as good location as it is pretty industrial over there.  I usually look in when driving past on I-495 and there's always buses in there from the various agencies in the area.

If you're driving on I-495 inner loop (south) you can see the lot just ofter passing over route 50.

well it looks like 6100s are now a thing of the past for Landover. 6176 and 6177 are now at Annex. 6178 still shows that it's at Landover, but the seconds since last report is high so chances are that it's at Annex as well. (and I thought the V5 was Bladensburg only, guess Annex does some runs?)
