So yesterday I took a view of Annex from a different standpoint so I found that 4003 4023 and 4045 (i think) are retired and have been scrapped. And one of the REX buses (forgot what number) seems to be peelingand exposing it's wrap like feature. And 2506 was on the 7A wit a D Block hmm perhaps signs of the new CNG facility on the way???

today 6116 M6 although it's a Voith bus it has an allison scream
and 2168 was on the V5 and also from yesterday I took a ride on Fairfax Connectirs 2010 D40LFRs and those things can move. I highly recommend anyone to check those out.

those new Connector 9600s are NICE, the AC is excellent and they drive pretty freakin nice

now when you say that 3003 has the old doors closing chime, do you mean the one that 5100/5101 have or the old old one that only said "doors opening" and "doors closing"?

Going along with that Christopher said, yes 4318 and 4319 are Montgomery buses now, just confirmed that from Nextbus.

BUT...it doesn't stop there, apparently 4337 and 4338 are now Montgomery buses as well (4339 and up are still at Royal though)

Saw a Baby Orion V from Western at Fort Totten, signed for the 60. Also saw a 30 footer on McKinley at Western signed Not in Service about 25-30 minutes later (my timing might be off, I was on my bike) but I didn't get the number either time, so I don't know if I saw the same bus twice, or two different buses.

6470 (I think) was signed for the 96 to McLean Gardens on Kennedy Street between 14th and 16th. A 4000 Series Orion V signed NOT IN SERVICE discharged two passengers at the corner of Kennedy and 16th, I didn't think any bus actually is in service at that point (though the buses often take that section of Kennedy on deadhead moves). I don't remember the number on that bus either, sorry.

WMATA and FFX Connector destination signs.

1) I saw an "Express" painted Orion VII (or is there only one at FMR?) at Dunn Loring on the 2T with the green destination sign set. The sign read "2Tu" in the route number area with "Tysons Corner" in the destination area. So... the sign read "2Tu Tysons Corner".

2) How common is it for there to be different variations of a destination sign? On FFX Connector's 950 toward Reston, I've seen two types of the same type of sign (the LED signs, not the old flip dots):

950 RESTON TOWN CTR // 950 via HERNDON- // 950 MONROE P&R, and
950 RESTON TOWN CTR // 950 via HERNDON-MONROE (in smaller font so it fits on one line)

Too bad I wasn't able to get the bus #s.

Don't even mention Connector. They're still in that north and south mindset with the signs. Try the 310 down south. Tristan knows what I'm talking about.

While riding home on the Metro from downtown today, I noticed that at Woodley Park, an inbound train had stopped short of the tunnel entrance and my train stopped a bit short at Friendship Heights. Not sure either was enough that if it had been an 8 car train, the last car would have been off the platform, but it seems to me that the operators need to pull all the way up or the whole not stopping in the center is pointless.

Also, while on the D6, I think it was on 2339 or 2329, the bus was not announcing transfers to the Metro, although the Clever Device was working normally otherwise.
