I got some Good Friday photos too of a different sort that I hope to post in the near future in the Beyond the Beltway section. I'm a bit behind on photos unfortunately...

Thanks a bunch. I was on campus around 3ish. I parked near to the west end of campus and walked down Campus drive to route 1, then walked back. I was there for about 1 hr and 15 min.

Glad you all liked the pics. Speaking of 2444 doing that serious lean... It was awesome to watch. The sound of WMATA's C40LFs have been music to my ears from day one and when this guy took off from the light... it was all throttle through that left turn. I was lucky enough to capture several shots of 2444 from standstill to completion of that turn. Here they are:

Quite nice! Your camera seems to have a great "burst mode" to be able to take so many pics so quickly!

I was using a DSLR and I'm guessing all SLRs have quick shutters. I simply fired away several times as I kept the bus in view.

My Fujfilm F70EXR compact takes some quick pics as well. 10x optical zoom 10MP. I'm even surprised by how fast it is compared to my S1500 which has been having problems lately.

Now that you mention it, I also have a Sony DSC-H5, also with a 12X zoom. It can also shoot pretty quickly as long as I'm not using the flash.

Wow, that WAS a good Friday! Great pics, Wayne. When did 6791 get a bike rack, and what route was 4391 on when you shot it? It looks like 2444 is trying to be a Flxible as well...LOL.

Thanks Fred. Not familiar with Shuttle UM's routes, but it appears that 4391 was headed to the College Park Metrorail station.
