The Bus with Flyers? That's something I would really pay to see. They would probably copy Ride On and have thier own CNG garage and get like 10 C40LFs. If anything, The Bus would get D40LFRs like thier brother T/A FFX. Imagine them with D40LFAs or D40LFs or D35LFAs or D35LFs. Wow. Flyer is not all that popular with small T/As but hey just imagine...

That would be awsome but........your man isn't funding PG county but New Flyers at THE BUS would be sick.

They don't need to order New Flyers. They need order NOVABus LFS, or Orion instead of NFIs. ;)

Okay novabusorionfan, I've already mentioned this in another thread.  We all fully understand your opinion, but...do you HAVE to take EVERY opportunity to throw in a pitch for Nova?  Do you WORK for Nova or something??  We know you like them but you just saying "they should get Novas" doesn't say anything significant.

Here's a shocking but interesting tidbit.......which might be true.  Would you believe that THE BUS once had CNG buses.......give you some time to think and go WTF.

Yes, they did, though they were CAGVs (Crappy Ass Gas Vehicles- for those who don't know what that means), they were CNG.  I was kinda shocked when I saw that.  My thought was they had a slower-old fashion CNG fueling station, not the fast fill, modern CNG filling stations practically all T/As, that have CNG buses have.  I think there was only one or two of them so, unless they get a fast fill CNG station, I don't see any new CNG buses coming anytime soon.

oh, sorry since NOVABUS came back to USA market, I thought I give them a chance to get more buyers. ;)

Check with them, maybe they'll put you on the payroll.

Oh yes!  The CAGVs (some sort of Champion product).  I remember riding one!  Here's a pic:
My favorite buses:
1989 SEPTA AN440: 19 years in service
1989 NJT Metro Bs: 21 years in service
1990 WMATA 93/9400 Flxes: 20 years in service!
1990-92 Ride-On Orion Is: 17-18 years in service!

Tell me again I have no taste in buses...

I remember riding that bus whe it first came out I was little then so it was in the 90s to the early 200s. It was nice to me, never thought it was a CNG.

No that wasn't it those were Champion Contenders, the CAGVs were some Goshen POS.  I have a pic of the die..or er...ga...well it ran on something.  If  I find it I'll post it.

Probably propane, and it had to pick up a new fuel tank in front of Safeway every morning :-p

So if THE BUS did decide to get Flyers I think either DE35LFR's or DE37LFA's. Maybe kick off a new paint scheme, maybe add some service to their routes. Maybe

hmmm...you sure you wanna trust THE BUS with hybrid-electric technology?  :P

I think they will hold on to clean diesels to the end!

Another new paint scheme?  You sure about that?

Though...it would be nice not having people think we have anything to do with them.....
