So I mean most of my day in Frienship Heights and in Georgetown and I have to say western's buses look by far the best out of all the DC bus depots or even all of wmata's depots. All of the 2100's-2200's I saw looked great along with the 2000's saw couple of Metro E's looked and sounded great! It seems like maietenance people there have a lot of pride in there work!

A few observations from today.

2007 broken down on Bladensburg Avenue. This is the third time in the last few years I have seen this bus broken down. It was about to be towed back to Landover.

Some doozies this morning, 2 from Metro and 1 from Ride On:

9352 on the J5. I don't think I've ever seen 9352 on a Montgomery route (if at all!)
9820 on the Z6 (at least one Metro-D lives!!)
₉₈5578 on the 96. Might the vanishing of the '07 low floor cutaways mean that the 35'x96" Orion V's are going to Nicholson?

1. yeah 9352 has been at Montgomery for some time now, it was a Royal bus until Royal got rid of all their Metro-Bs, but before that, it was actually at Montgomery
2. i think there are more Metro-Ds still in service, if I'm not mistaking, 9805, 9809, and 9810 are still around, I'm not sure about the others but I wouldn't be surprised
3. 5578 has been at Nicholson for some time, it was a training bus along with 5579, 5400, and 5401, but all those except for 5579 are now at Nicholson. If we see an actual Gaithersburg 5500 move to Nicholson (5550-5566, 5572-5577) then that's where it will get interesting, I mean, Nicholson already got all of the 5400s and some of the upper 5300s.

I actually saw 9835 returning to Montgomery this morning (probably deadheading from a J5 run; the 9830's are regulars there), so there's another Metro-D that's still active.
