Charlottesville Transit Service starts new garage construction

Folks, Charlottesville Transit Service (in my hometown of Charlottesvillle, VA) began construction of their new garage maintenence facility on March 9th. The garage is to be fully operational by Fall of next year (2010). According to this, CTS is also on the list to start using hybrid-electric buses starting next year. My grandfather has informed me that these will be Gillig Low Floors.

And yes, this new garage, located at 1545 Avon Street Extended, is to replace the current facility at 315 4th St. NW which has been in use since 1976.
