I put together a photo retrospective of Chicago Transit Authority's recent retirees: The 4400 series RTSs, 5300 series Flxibles & 5800 series New Flyers...Enjoy!

Nice video man CTA is one of my home transit companies!!!

Great show!  I was sitting there, watching it, and stunned.  When I made my great trip to Chicago with family 8 (wow) years ago, those buses were commonplace - they were essentially the 3 buses that I remember from there.  I've been wanting to go back to photograph them, but I guess I missed that opportunity.

I didn't realize that the 5800s left as well.

So, what else of interest is left there?  I hear they have a plethora of brand new New Flyer D40LFs that I will likely avoid.
My favorite buses:
1989 SEPTA AN440: 19 years in service
1989 NJT Metro Bs: 21 years in service
1990 WMATA 93/9400 Flxes: 20 years in service!
1990-92 Ride-On Orion Is: 17-18 years in service!

Tell me again I have no taste in buses...

At least they have Opuses, LFS's, and the infamous 60-LFW's to break up the New Flyer monotony.

Those Nabis are on their way out the door as we speak. Due to one of them cracking, CTA is looking at retiring the whole fleet

yes, it's too bad when I went there I was too young to go off by myself.

MAN Americanas, Flyer D900s, RTS WFDs, Flxes, MAN artics (?), and more - oh my!
