The A1 Locomotive Trust has built the first mainline steam locomotive in the United Kingdom since 1960.  The 4-6-2 locomotive is named Tornado and it took 18 years to build at a cost of $6 million.  The locomotive completed testing at speeds up to 75 mph in November 2008 and is expected to be approved to travel at up to 90 mph. During the first quarter of 2009 Tornado is expected to haul the Queen's rolling stock with a member of the royal family.  For more information: www.a1steam.com
