Okay seriously, what happened to this site during the last 4 to 5 years?

After some digging around recently, I noticed that this site had much more activity back in the 2009-2011 era. There were more posters and generally more topics being discussed (and photos of the month treads) What happened to all that? Is this site decaying? I joined this site about a year ago and even then, there were fewer people. I feel like something should be done about this, because D.C. Area Transit Zone is the only place to get info about the regional transit systems.  Along the east coast, the next big ones would be NYCT Fourms and Subchat. Subchat replaced Subtalk in late 2004 after years of decline. Could the same be in store for this site? Any thoughts about this?

I would say most of the members here have moved to Facebook for postings/pics whatever. Their are a few of us still hanging in here though...

Yes, but sadly, besides you and I, I think there are only like 3 or 4 people left on here.

Yeah, this site definitely isn't like it used to be. The only reason I really stay on is for RideOn5905 and I keeping updated on new rehabs.

Yeah, I noticed that. I figured that maybe this has to do with the lack of new stuff on property (i.e. new train cars, new subway stations, new buses, etc..). I suppose it is possible that things may pick up again once said things occur. I've also noticed that NYCT forums, Subchat, and several other transit boards have also been in decline. NYCT forums, like this site, also seems to be losing members left and right (from what I hear). Subchat on the other hand is losing all control due to the more often than not flamewars and might collapse soon if nothing is done about it. DC Area Transit Zone meanwhile seems to be fading out of existents. I could be due to the times we're living in but I don't know. Like, when was the last time members such as @Anexx4421 or @C40LF_2464 posted on here? A year or 2 ago?

NewFlyer9736BCT-I do appreciate the tabs you are keeping on DCATZ. I also like it here as the few of us here seem more serious about the hobby then the on going jokes and useless conversation happening on a certain social media site. Thats my opinion.
