"Farewell to the Faithful Silverliners"

From RAILFAN & RAILROAD:  the Philadelphia Chapter NRHS (National Railway Historical Society) is sponsoring a trip on a special train of SEPTA Silverliner II and III EMU cars on September 25, 2011 to mark the upcoming retirement of the "oldest active MU cars in the U.S."  The train leaves Suburban Station in Philadelphia at 10:00 AM and 30th Street Station at 10:05 AM.  The "trip covers former PRR and Reading lines with numerous photo stops and lunch stop."  The fare is $50.00 per person.  Contact Larry Eastwood at 215-947-5769 or visit www.phillynrhs.com. 

I took a similar trip in October 2010 that was sponsored by Philadelphia Trolleys and it really rocked so I recommend this.
