This news comes from an article on GGW saying that the Georgetown Metro Connection routes will be transitioned over into the DC Circulator system on 9/1. It was a matter of time before this happened. At least now, people have another option to go to Rosslyn alongside the 38B and REAL buses.

Wow.  Do you guys have any pictures of the Blue Buses.  I should try to hunt them down before they go.
My favorite buses:
1989 SEPTA AN440: 19 years in service
1989 NJT Metro Bs: 21 years in service
1990 WMATA 93/9400 Flxes: 20 years in service!
1990-92 Ride-On Orion Is: 17-18 years in service!

Tell me again I have no taste in buses...

WES

They're cutaways, so they aren't worth riding.

Maybe the Circulator should just run to Ballston and then WMATA can eliminate the 38B entirely!  Or do what I've thought they should have done all along which is have a 38A run express from Rosslyn to DC via the Whitehurst Freeway.

It's not really worth it. The 38B runs pretty good until you run into traffic along M, K, and I. It's a really busy line and the sole cheap alternative to getting into VA outside of catching rail (at least during midday and weekends). Plus I heard a rumor saying the District had to do some kind of cross jurisdictional thing to be able to operate into VA.

There had been plans to extend the 38B to Union Station...sort of like a repeat of the old M6 that used to run from Rosslyn to Union station over 30 years ago...not sure where that ended up.  I used to hate taking it through Georgetown and with the limited times it could make it through with not much traffic made relying on it inconsistent.

Yea I hate traffic on M myself. It's not so much the vehicular traffic, its all those damn tourists that don't know when or how to cross the street.
