Both THE NEW YORK TIMES and THE WASHINGTON POST reported on 5/8/2010 that Phil Pagano, Metra's executive director, was killed by a Metra train on 5/7/2010.  The POST reported the death was a suicide but the TIMES reported that "the death is under investigation."  Although the cause of death is in dispute at this time, both new sources agree that Mr. Pagano is, in fact, dead.   Metra had recently launched an inquiry into Mr. Pagano's recent unapproved $56,000 bonus.

It was a suicide as they found a note on his body. They just announced in the news the day before his suicide that he was under investigation into some wrong doings.
