I just saw this article on WMATA's website:
http://www.wmata.com/about_metro/news/PressReleaseDetail.cfm?ReleaseID=4421

Does anyone know which buses are retrofitted in such a manner?  They should be L10 Metro Bs.  I'm so proud that my favorite buses down there have been saved and are still serving various needs, even outside of Metrobus duty. :)
My favorite buses:
1989 SEPTA AN440: 19 years in service
1989 NJT Metro Bs: 21 years in service
1990 WMATA 93/9400 Flxes: 20 years in service!
1990-92 Ride-On Orion Is: 17-18 years in service!

Tell me again I have no taste in buses...

Ironically, one of those buses is 9310 (as seen from a picture shown on WMATA's home page).

Now for someone to let ChristopherF know about this!

How wonderful to find out that four Metro Bs are being retained for such service.  Thanks for sharing this!  I printed out the link and will catalogue it in the CC&T Archives.
Once all the goats are rounded up, the German tourists are extradited, and the syrup trucks are returned, you'll have to admit that you never saw that one coming.
