The NARP NEWS (December 2008) reported that Joseph Boardman, Federal Railroad Administrator, was apointed to be the new AMTRAK CEO by the AMTRAK Board on 11/25/2008.  According to NARP Mr. Boardman's appointment is for one year while the Board conducts a search for a permanent CEO.
