2002 and 2602

This can't really count as a monthly observation but 2002 and 2602 has something in common.  The commonality is that both weren't branded as "38B" type buses when all of the other ones around them were.  I can't remember if 2002 ever had the 38B banners but 2602 never had.  Was this just a coincidence or was it done on purpose.  Only WhyMATA knows.
