That is one badass bus wrap! Much better than I expected...though it looks like we won't be seeing the larger buses on the 45 anymore =(

On the R3

Caught 5414 sneaking into Prince Georges Plaza

Most of the picture quality on DE40LFR's photos were not that great.  There were some good pics, however.

Nice pics Jereme. I wish the BRT ones were a little clearer. Anyways, I was walking into P.G Plaza the other day and saw 5416 on the R2 going to Ft Totten. It snuck up on me. I would've gotten a picture, but I didn't get there fast enough. I have pictures from Friday including 2 pics of 4094 on the F4. I'll post whenever I can.

March 27...enjoy

and...presenting the first ever picture of Connector's new Orion VII NGs:

Now here's the story behind this. I was in DC for a while, then thought that I should go down to VA, and Tristan said he saw one on the 306, meaning that south county has them for sure. So I go to Huntington, and upon arriving, this bus was already there, about to leave. So I took a rear shot just in case it left...which it did.

THEN...I took the 109 to Van Dorn St Station, it was a ghost town, and as soon as I arrived, DASH's 48 (AT7 eastbound) came and I got in the bus (it was getting late, rush hour was almost over, it was progressively getting dark, etc, so I just called it a day)

Talk about calling it 1 minute early! As soon as the bus I was on was about to leave the station, Connector's 9770 comes along on the 321. I was like "R U F'IN KIDDING ME?!" It was too late to go back anyways...

So yeah...and that's why I only have a back shot of 9776 and nothing more.

I have no idea...I forgot about that one, I was just worried about getting pics. I don't think it's DD

...actually, i really don't know

and yeah Ken, the front is not that cool looking, but besides that I like them. I had no idea Connector was getting them as 30-footers. Any other sizes in this order?

Nice catch, New Flyer.  Now upload the pic of the Germany.info bus and see if you can win a trip to Germany!!

The Orion VII NG is ok looking - forgot that the red border around the lights in the back is standard.
My favorite buses:
1989 SEPTA AN440: 19 years in service
1989 NJT Metro Bs: 21 years in service
1990 WMATA 93/9400 Flxes: 20 years in service!
1990-92 Ride-On Orion Is: 17-18 years in service!

Tell me again I have no taste in buses...

A trip to Germany?  When I won the contest, all I got was an Ipod Shuffle...

An iPod shuffle? Thats some false advertising.

No, it was the prize at the time.  I submitted several photos so I don't know which one was the winning one though:

I was in Germany for about 10 days in 2003, during which time I traveled to Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Nuremberg, and a number of small towns to visit sites of significance in my family's ancestral history, including 8 of the 19 cemeteries where I have ancestors buried in that country.  One of the stones I visited was that of my 8 times great grandfather, who died in 1740.  I was in Germany again for less than 24 hours last June, spending a night near Cologne with a family friend before flying back to the US from Frankfurt, having spent the previous 5 and a half months in Europe, mostly in Rome.  I'd like to go back there again someday, but I'd rather do it on a trip where i set my own itinerary, although I would like the opportunity to learn German (and a host of other languages), so maybe the prize trip wouldn't be too bad a deal.  Regardless, I don't see myself winning again, but that is besides the point...
