Where might be a good place to see this train on the NE Corridor

  Barack is taking the NE corridor to Washington fro his inauguration.  Where might we best see the train???

New York Avenue station is good, if the platform isn't spilling over.  New Carrollton is a hit as well.

I've also heard Landover and Martin State Airport are good spots.  You might get better luck with this question at a place like railroad.net.

BWI Airport might be another spot. As well as Halethorpe. Basically, any good MARC train station on the Penn Line should do. The President-elect will make a stop in Baltimore that weekend before heading to DC (so security will be extremely tight). I agree with Oren, you might want to head over to the Railroad.net forums, they might have a thread pertaining to this (I'm pretty sure they do).

The Northeast Corridor doesn't go through Riverdale.

Some speculation here, but depending on just where and how he comes into Baltimore to make his stop there, he just might actually come into DC on the B&O line and not the PRR (NEC).   Camden Yards is among the spots considered for his visit to Baltimore, and there is an interchange from the NEC to CSX track south of Wilmington that would lead the train right past Camden Yards. 

From there, the only way into DC would be to continue down the B&O and voila, right through Riverdale.  I'd continue to monitor forums to determine the route.  If on the off chance, he does come down the B&O, College Park or Greenbelt might be the possibilities.

Good point - I was going off the initial post that said Barack is taking the Corridor, but it's very possible, especially in light of the proposal to use Camden Yards, that he would come down the back way...though it's less secure.
