This weekend Saturday January 26 and Sunday January 27 there will be an event commemorating the 51st anniversary of the last day of streetcars in Washington, DC at the National Capital Trolley Museum.   PCC car #1101 which was the first car of this type out of a total of 489 to operate will be ready to take you for a ride over the line of the museum which has recently been rebuilt.   If you have not been to the museum recently, it is really great with all new facilities.      On Sunday only, there will be a slide presentation  at 1:30 and 3:30 showing scenes of streetcars in Washington, DC.  Tell your friends and families and come on out to the museum.  The Museum is located at 1313 Bonifant Road, Silver Spring MD, 301-384-6088.
