$80,000/year to park at a curbside, especially when the heaviest hitter has a lot. Stay classy DC!

Might this drive buses to new locations if nobody wants to pass along the costs to the customers? Besides Greenbelt, where else could work? New Carrollton? Silver Spring? Somewhere in Arlington? Hopefully it doesn't get to this point.

I think these discount bus companies could branch out and provide service from locations like the Gaithersburg P&R currently used by the J9 and MTA Route 201/202.  Currently people in the northern suburbs have to travel to DC or Bethesda to catch a DC-NYC bus.  A route using Gaithersburg P&R could stop at Shady Grove Metro (and possibly Norbeck and Burtonsville P&R) by using the ICC/Route 198 routing to I-95.  The destination sign would read something like "Washington North/Shady Grove/Gaithersburg."
