Missing "door zone" markings on the new-floor cars?

I'm sure that most of you know of the four carpetless cars, 6026-7 and 6104-5.  In those cars, regardless of the flooring used, it's the same floor all the way down the car, without changing color around the "door zones" as the carpeted cars do (regardless of orange or pink carpet).

What I'm wondering is, am I the only one who misses that color change by the doors?  To me, it seems useful as a subtle reminder to stay out of that area and move to the center of the car.

Am I alone in thinking that the "door zone" marking should be retained?  What do others think?

Not sure it is a difference that makes a difference.  I can't think of any systems offhand with similar markings, and if the differentiation in color was meant to get people to move further in, I'm not so sure it has proven to be been terribly effective over the past 35 years.

I've always noticed it but think it is pointless. Though today alot of people are always looking down but at their ipods, cell phones, MP3 players etc.....
