While press reports state that express service has been eliminated the new schedule reveals otherwise.

Actually, a couple express trains were retained. I don't know why they said express service was eliminated.

Also, I did notice that train 641 is slated to start at Martins which is odd.

641 is spending the midday at the yard there, not odd in the slightest.  They said that as part of redoing the schedule they were going to have trains spending the middays at Martin Airport.
