btco.net Registration Open for Business

...for the first time in seemingly forever.

You may recall that the DCATZ forum grew forth from a subforum with btco which specializes mostly in all things Baltimore Transit.

The board had been closed to new registration thanks to a plague of spambots, while the attachment mod on the phpBB2 board made it difficult to upgrade.  Fortunately, phpBB3 came out, and could be installed separately with a converter able to bring the old board over to the new.

The results: success, and a newer, cleaner btco board that is open for registration.  While DCATZ has no doubt become the premier place to discuss DC, btco is the place to go when you find yourself interested in your neighbors to the north.

You wanna get technical?  Maybe we should look into OpenID so that DCATZ members don't have to re-register at BTCo and vice versa.  There's likely to be either a mod or a built-in option for it in phpbb3, I know it's built in to Drupal and SMF...
