Excellent photos Wayne!

BTW, the NJT NABIs are not 436s, they're 416s.

These photos were from a month ago.

Enjoy!

This is just a taste of the Orion 7 Next Generations running around in Manhattan (I realized just before hit the post button that all the photos were shot in Manhattan so I had to make the title a little more proper).

Enjoy!

There should be more coming soon when I go on vacation next week and do some major catching up citywide.

Pablo, thank you very much.  That's more information than I saw on any media down here including the newspapers.  It seems like when the media discovered that there were no fatalities (following their mantra- "If it bleeds it leads") they lost interest in the story.  Of course, I am also a big ship fan so nautical photographs are always fun.  Are you thawed out yet?
No problem! The media in the NY area couldn't stop talking about it for at least a week, which was nice.

And I spent the rest of that weekend defrosting so I was fine by tuesday!

Ok, so I spent my saturday sitting out on the piers by Exchange Place in Jersey City to see the US Airways Airbus A320 from Flight 1549 from LaGuardia to Charlotte be pulled out the Hudson River. I was there from like what, 10 AM or so, expecting the plane to be pulled out shortly. Then it got to Noon and was told some interesting info which was they found the engine that fell off on river bed in the vicinity of the Lincoln Tunnel, and that they wasn't going to pull out the plane til 2 PM. So I hoped on HBLR and went to Newport real quick to get some hot chocolate and some snacks and went back. From there on til sunset, me and a few others just stood around, tried to stay warm waiting and waiting, and ditched around 5 PM when it got too dark for a shot. I was disappointed they pulled it out overnight, but was glad to see it was still around after they pulled it out and I was able to get a shot of it this morning. Without further ado....

Enjoy!

This was taken on Friday in Battery Park City.

Now to saturday.
This was the crane to be used arriving.

The crane settling in.

Look closely in the water just right of the crane.

This is a few hours later, just waiting.

This was the scene around 3PM or so.

And this was the scene last I left it.

Now to this morning, basically the plane on display.

Hope you enjoyed, comments are always welcomed!

Visitor Log / Hello all, Pablo here!
December 16, 2008, 05:11:34 PM
Hey guys, whats up!

Pablo, live from Jersey City, NJ, here.

This is a great site you guys got going here. I'm a little "fluent" with the DC area, mainly with PG County MD around Hyattsville and Greenbelt (those are my usual hang out spots when I go for a visit).

I was thinking of heading down to the Maryland area for my winter break but realized I need to stick around the NY area for the stuff going on up here.

I should be heading down for MD and DC Spring Break or next summer. Plus, I'm thinking of heading down for Inauguration Day.

Those are some really great shots!

I have yet to ride around on the vintage buses the MTA has running around this year, but after this week I'm on vacation so I'll be definately in and out of NYC often.
