Hi,
   I'm Matt'. I am the proprietor of Track Twenty-Nine (http://tracktwentynine.blogspot.com/). I'm a graduate student in the planning program at the University of Maryland. I've lived in DC for a little over a year now and am currently located in the Petworth neighborhood.

I originally hail from outside Atlanta, and some of my earliest memories of the city are riding the West Line in from Hightower (now HE Holmes). I've always been fascinated by trains, and rail transit is my biggest interest there.

I'm glad to have found this forum. Keep up the good work!

One of the best preserved rights of way is the old Number 20 trolley to Cabin John, Maryland. I went exploring a couple of months ago and it's amazing how much is still visible so many decades after the trains stopped running.
